Skill Builders 2025:

Skill Builders are 45 minutes in length and cover the second half of Church Leader Gatherings and Executive Board meetings (11:30am – 1pm). 
The meetings will be hosted by Calvary Baptist Church, 1906 I 35 N Frontage Rd, San Marcos, TX 78666.
NOTE: No Meeting in Month of June or December.
 

January 13, 2025:
Denny Gorena of Guidestone's Mission:Dignity will be our Skill Builder speaker. The topic is "How to Handle the Emotional Challenges of Ministry." 

February 10, 2025:
The Skill Builder will be a panel discussion on "Leading Your Church Out of the Church Bubble and into the Community." Panelists are Brad Mills, John Minton and Chris Smith.

March 10, 2025:
The Skill Builder will be a panel discussion on "Keys to Thriving as a Ministry Leader." Panelists are Peter Hill, Kevin Cornelius and Luis Vasquez.

April 14, 2025:
The Skill Builder topic is "Pastoral Counseling: " Key Practices, Aims and Boundaries". Presenter: Bill Glasgow

May 12, 2025:
The Skill Builder topic is "Going the Distance in Your Calling: An Interview with Mel Grams." The interviewer will be David Mathis.

June 2025:
No meeting

July 14, 2025:

August 11, 2025:
Texas State University Baptist Student Ministry will be the focus. Presenter will be Wayne Dillen, Executive Director and his staff.

September 8, 2025:
The Skill Builder will be a panel discussion called “Protect Yourself: Appropriate Accountability for Church Leaders.” The panelists are Fred Ater, Keith Maddox and Dustin Wooten. 

October 2025:
Annual BBA meeting at Everyday Christian Fellowship, Cibolo. Speaker will be Dr. Robby Partain.

November 10, 2025:
The Skill Builder will be a panel discussion called “Second Chair: The Ministry of the Executive / Associate Pastor.” The panelists are Paul Valdez (Fellowship Church, Kyle), Jon Stautzenberger
(Bulverde BC) and JK Minton (BBA Church Health Consultant).
